According to dosha predominance

n Kapha  - Morning
n Pitta      - Afternoon
n Vata     - Evening

According to Seasons - in Swastha or Healthy Person

n Sheeta kala ( Hemant & Shishir) - Afternoon
n Sharad and vasanta        – Morning
n Greeshma ( Summer)     – Evening
n Varsha ( Rainy season) – Cloudless day with sunshine

Age Group

Age group eligible for Nasya is 7- 80 years

Dose determination of Nasya

What is Bindu ?

n When index finger is dipped upto two parvas (joints) in drava dravya and taken out the amount of dravya falling from it is considered as one bindu. This is like 1 drop by ink dropper .

n  Approximately one bindu is 0.5 ml.( for oil)

Marsha Nasya

n Uttama maatra ( Big amount) ---------10 bindu ( drops)
n Madhyama maatra ( Moderate) ------ 8 bindu (drops)
n Hrswa maatra ( Less) ----------- 6 bindu (drops)

Pratimarsha nasya  - 2 bindu (drops)

For Avapida nasya:

n Uttama maatra --------- 8 bindu

3)Pradhamana nasya:

n      The quantity of powder required to reach the throat (kantha) when blow through a 6 angula long pipe is the quantity for pradhamana nasya. - 3 Muchutti (2- 3gms).1 Muccutti is like 1 pinch
n  If churna pottali used - 2 karsha(20 gm)

 4) Sneha nasya:
